Academy Canada is supportive of the needs of the whole
student and that includes assisting our students with
accommodations. We will offer students assistance with
a Homestay program. Homestay is a service where students
live with a Canadian family in a home setting. You will
be given a partially furnished room, with access to
a washroom. Most Homestay arrangements will prepare
one main meal, dinner. Often the student will be responsible
for preparing their own breakfast and lunch, however
the homestay families will allow students to prepare
their own snacks and meals at the home. There are wide
ranges of possibilities with respect to fulfilling the
individual's needs. For example, one family may offer
3 meals a day and others may offer 1 meal.
Academy Canada is committed to helping you settle into
the area in an easy and efficient manner, therefore
if you choose to go to an apartment, the college will
provide you with a list of rental units.
Each student may choose the accommodations of their
choice. The International Department of Academy Canada
will make arrangements to have you picked up at the
airport and take you to either your homestay family
or to your rental property. The College will provide
all students with a tour of the city; the campus and
we will provide an orientation day to assist all your
concerns.
