Corner Brook Campus          

Mitch Blanchard Financial Officer -- Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics from Memorial University and is currently working towards his Vocational Education Certificate from Memorial University.  3 years experience as an instructor prior to accepting this new role and has nine years experience in the business fields; including both government and private businesses.

Carol Bishop

Vice-Principal -- Carol had over 10 years experience as an Instructor with Academy Canada prior to accepting her current role as Director of Student Services. Carol has a Diploma in Applied Arts from Bay St. George Community College and an extensive service record as a dedicated community volunteer.

Colin Burridge

Network Administrator -- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Diploma in Computer Technology with 8 years work experience as a Network Administration and post secondary Instructor. [Academy Canada graduate]

Jennifer Coombs Employment Coordinator – our newest member of the Administrative team comes to us with a Bachelor degree in Recreation with a minor in Business and has extensive experience in special events planning and coordinating including the 2006 Labrador Winter Games.

Doug Osmond

Facilities Manager -- Doug holds a Microcomputer Applications Diploma from Academy Canada, and is currently working towards his Vocational Education Certificate from Memorial University. Prior to moving into the role of Facilities Manager, Doug had over 10 years work experience as Computer Lab Demonstrator and Software Applications instructor with Academy Canada.

Sheri-Lynn Skinner

Administrative Assistant -- Sheri-Lynn has an Office Administration Technology (Medical, Legal, Engineering) Diploma from Academy Canada and has over five years experience in the field of customer service.



Kenmount Road Campus, St. John's

Janice Best Manager of Admissions -- Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education with 6 years experience in Administration at the College level.

Steve Best

Admissions Officer -- Diploma in IT (Information Systems Management) Diploma in IT (Advanced Computer Programming), Diploma in Community Recreation with several years of work experience as a counselor and special events coordinator with the City of Mount Pearl.

Gregg Bolger

Admissions Officer -- Gregg, a former Academy Canada graduate from the Computer Aided Drafting program - won Gold Medal at the Skills Canada Competition for Mechanical Drafting.    Gregg worked with an engineering firm designing subdivisions and wastewater systems in the city of St. John's and surrounding areas before being employed with Academy Canada as an Admissions Officer.  Gregg has much volunteer experience with kids in the Allied Youth program.

Computer Support Specialist Instructor/Network Administrator -- Vocational Education Certificate (inc), MCSE, MCP, A+ Certification, Microcomputer Maintenance Diploma with 5 years experience as Service Technician/Network Administrator Instructor.

Priscilla Brewer

Business Office Coordinator -- Business Administration Accounting Diploma, Simply Accounting courses with 7 years work experience in the field.

Tammy Fry

Business Officer - Office Administration Technology Diploma with business office experience in the field.

Karen Martin

Executive Assistant - Office Administration Technology (Medical, Legal, Engineering) Diploma; 2 years experience in the field with 8 years related office experience and customer service.



Harding Road Campus, St. John's

Anita Abbott Student Support Coordinator -- Bachelor of Arts, Diploma in Adult Teacher Education from Memorial University with 5 years teaching experience in an Adult Basic Education program.
Ed Christopher Curriculum Department Head -- Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts, 12 years teaching experience at both college and secondary levels and 9 years experience in Administration at the College level.

Ford Hibbs

Curriculum Coordinator -- Journeyperson Carpenter with 25 years experience; Member of the Carpenters union for 36 years; Representative of the Provincial Apprenticeship Board for 7 years.

Suzanne Jordan

Apprenticeship Coordinator -- Suzanne graduated from Academy Canada in 1999 with an office admin technology (medical, legal, engineering) diploma.  Suzanne notifies our students/graduates of employment opportunities through an alumni chapter and manages all student work terms. Suzanne also works closely with the division of Industrial Training, Dept. of Education, Industry and Apprentices and arranges all advanced training classes for both our St. John’s and Corner Brook Campus.

James Loder

Principal -- Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resources), Counsellor Training and 11 years experience as college administrator with 3 years experience as Career Counsellor.  Past Vice-President of the Clarenville and Mount Pearl Chambers of Commerce as well as a current member of the Executive Committee for the National Association of Career Colleges and the NL Association of Career Colleges.

 

Lisa Lovelady Vice Principal -- Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Science with 7 years experience at both the secondary and college levels as a teacher and an administrator.

Lori Newhook

Registrar -- Bachelor of Arts (Econ.), Computerized Accounting Diploma and 1 year experience as Administration Assistant with 8 years experience as Registrar. (Academy Canada graduate)
