Homestay Program

Academy Canada is committed to helping International students get the most from their Canadian experience. We will match students with host families and provide on-going support throughout the placement. Our host families are carefully chosen to ensure comfort and safety.

Homestay accommodation is for the student wanting to enjoy the full Canadian cultural experience. There are many advantages to living with a Canadian family during your studies. Our host families offer a secure and friendly environment. They welcome you into their home and include you in family activities. This gives you the opportunity to practice English and learn about Canadian culture. They will help you adapt to and enjoy your new environment.

Our host families will provide:

• A private room with bed, bedding, desk, lamp, closet and bureau, access to laundry
• Three meals a day, at least two prepared meals
• A welcoming, supportive and clean environment
• Inclusion in family activities
• Assistance with the English language
• Orientation into the community
• A non-smoking environment
