New software programs need to be installed and configured. computers need to be connected to printers, modems, and to each other to form networks. These tasks are beyond the most user's capabilities; therefore, the demand for people who can use these systems and make them work together is increasing. Academy Canada's IT Network Professional Program addresses the Information Technology demand for highly qualified and job ready employees to provide technical support for computer users. This Program is committed to using industry standard software, promoting industry certification to our students, and providing highly qualified instructors. Students can expect to work in the microcomputer industry's service sector, and the microcomputer software and business applications environments. According to Career Directions, the average annual salary is approximately $44,089, ranging from $24,965 per year to $64,356 per year. Employment trends computer and information technology related careers are in great demand in Newfoundland and Labrador, across Canada, and worldwide. In the year 2010, over 9 million Canadians are expected to be working with computers. Another 900,000 will work directly in computer and information technology related areas such as Computer Operators, Network Technicians, Systems Engineers and other support positions.
