ANNOUNCEMENT

Academy Canada now has course equivalency recognition by the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) for the Accounting and Organizational Behaviour courses in our Business Administration Program. For any students who wish to pursue, through the CPA, a designation such as Payroll Compliance Practitioner or Certified Payroll Manager, these courses can automatically be transferred for credit and will be accepted by the CPA as equivalent to their Introduction to Accounting and Organizational Behaviour Management courses.

Program Description

The Business Administration (Marketing, Human Relations, Accounting) program prepares students for a career in numerous interesting and exciting professional disciplines. Graduates will develop the practical skills needed to compete as leaders within the business world. They will develop business plans, create marketing plans, learn the techniques required to manage complex accounting systems and formulate effective public relations strategies. Human relations courses will prepare students to manage employees and get the very best from them. This program is designed to build the well-rounded business professionals needed in Newfoundland and Labrador, across Canada and internationally.

Cape Breton University Business Administration Program Advanced Standing

Academy Canada's Business Administration program graduates can transfer up to 40% of required credits toward Cape Breton University's Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

Employment Opportunities

Upon successful completion of the Business Administration (Marketing, Human Relations, Accounting) program, graduates may be employed in a broad range of business environments such as Client Service Representative, Buying and Planning, Human Resource Office Management, Marketing Management, Event Marketing, and Accounting positions.

Entrance Requirements

High School Graduates or Equivalent

High School Graduates or equivalent are eligible for admission into the Business Administration (Marketing, Human Relations, Accounting) program. Students must complete an application form and provide a copy of High School, Adult Basic Education, or G.E.D results. Under certain circumstances, students who do not meet the formal High School requirements may be accepted upon the recommendation of a High School Principal or Guidance Counselor. Please contact an Admissions Officer for further details.

Mature Students

Mature Students are eligible for admission into the Business Administration (Marketing, Human Relations, Accounting) program. These students must be at least 19 years of age, complete an application form, provide a copy of recent marks, and write a Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT) as arranged by Academy Canada.
