AdmissionsAdmissions PolicyThe Academy Canada Admissions Policy states:
Who can apply?High School Graduate - If you possess a High School, Adult Basic Education, or General Education Development Diploma, you are eligible to apply to Academy Canada as a high school graduate. Documentation must be submitted on or before the first day of class. Modified High School Diploma - Students who have completed a modified high school curriculum or modified high school courses, such as an Individualized Education Plan or IEP, the third digit of a course number will be a 6 or 8 or the letter M, maybe eligible for admission based on one or more of the following requirements:
Mature Student - If you do not have a High School Diploma, but are age 19 or older, you can apply to Academy Canada as a mature student. Students must submit their most recent marks and complete the Canadian Adult Achievement Test prior to admission. International Students - Original or certified true copies of transcripts from other countries must be submitted directly to Academy Canada's Admissions Office. The Admissions Officer will determine if the achievement level is equivalent to Newfoundland and Labrador. How do I apply?Paper Application - Submit a completed application form to the Admissions Office through mail or in person. Online - Apply online at http://www.academycanada.com/apply-online/ What do I need to apply?Your application is complete if:
Specific Entrance Requirements - Individual Academy Canada programs may stipulate specific entrance requirements for admission, including specific courses and minimum grades. Programs may also stipulate non-academy requirements for admission such as a clear conduct certificate, medical assessment, interview, entrance exam, etc. Please refer to the program information pages for these specific academy requirements. When should I apply?There are no deadlines for application submissions. All applicants will be admitted on a first come, first served basis according to Admissions Office received application date. |
