AccreditationAcademy Canada is nationally accredited by the Canadian Education and Training Accreditation Commission (CETAC). Academy Canada’s three campuses are among only ten national career colleges that have successfully met the rigorous requirements of the CETAC Accreditation. The fact Academy Canada’s students will have graduated from a nationally accredited career college gives their certificate or diploma a validation assuring students that the programs we offer are of the highest caliber in curriculum, staff, facilities, resources and employment readiness. For more information http://www.cetac.ca Academy Canada’s provincial apprenticeship programs are accredited by the Provincial Apprenticeship and Certification Board (PACB). Provincial apprenticeship accreditation is a voluntary process that provides an auditing mechanism to ensure apprenticeship training programs offered by private and training institutes in the province are meeting the standards as set by the Provincial Apprenticeship and Certification Board. Accredited apprenticeship programs ensure the learner, industry, employers and the public that the program meets or exceeds educational and industry standards as identified in the National Occupational Analysis and reflected in the Plans of Training. It ensures that programs conform to the standards established for specific occupations and graduates have the required level of competence to enter the work force. It also enables graduates, with the requisite experiential hours, to qualify to write the certification examination. Numerous people benefit from accreditation:
In 1998, Academy Canada’s hairstylist program was one of the first two trades programs to be accredited in Newfoundland. To date all Academy Canada Trades program offerings are either accredited or preparing for accreditation.
