Academy Canada, Corner Brook Campus, is seeking an experienced, qualified individual to deliver 2 courses that introduce students to creating and manipulating/modifying PDF files using Adobe Acrobat, as well as introduce students to two powerful applications in the world of electronic design: Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Publisher.

Business Administration, Advertising Instructor - Corner Brook Campus

Seeking an experienced, knowledgeable candidate in the field of advertising to deliver advertising courses in the Business Administration (Marketing, Human Relations, Accounting) program at the Corner Brook campus. The courses to be taught address advertising fundamentals in retail, mail order, industrial, and professional settings, as well as developing effective advertising campaigns and how to successfully execute those campaigns.

The instructor will perform many functions that include, but are not limited to, preparing and delivering program content, conducting and recording student evaluations (both academic and practical), maintaining student records and files, and monitoring and recording student grades and attendance.

Key credentials include a combination of 6 years’ training and/or experience with at least 2 years’ experience directly related to the field of instruction.

Plumber Instructor - Corner Brook Campus

The Instructor plays a vital role in the proper delivery of Academy Canada’s programs. The position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:

  • Program preparation and delivery, including the development and/or maintenance of course portfolios and proper maintenance of a teacher planner.
  • Completion of all preparatory work exclusive of regular student contact hours.
  • Maintain student records/files as per College policy.
  • Conduct and record student evaluations, both academic and practical.
  • Properly maintain current student attendance records.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings, faculty meetings, and instructor in-service training sessions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A desire to work in a team environment.

Qualifications must include a current Journeyperson Plumber certificate.
