Kenmount Road Campus Therapeutic Recreation and Developmental Support Worker Students Host Successful "Alzheimer Coffee Break"

Kenmount Road Campus Therapeutic Recreation and Developmental Support Worker Students Host Successful "Alzheimer Coffee Break"

Posted September 20, 2013

On September 13, 2013, Therapeutic Recreation and Developmental Support Worker classes along with their instructors, Joanne Bennett and Kim Smart, hosted a “Coffee Break” to raise money for the Alzheimer Society.

Coffee Break is the Alzheimer Society's major nationwide annual fundraiser where friends, co-workers and customers gather in communities across Canada to raise funds for their local Alzheimer Society.

Participants give a monetary donation in exchange for a cup of coffee. The money raised stays in our province to help support local programs and services.

Therapeutic Recreation and Developmental Support Worker students served coffee, tea, cupcakes, and cookies in exchange for a donation to the Alzheimer Society. They raised $200.00 during this fundraising event.

Thank you to the Therapeutic Recreation and Developmental Support Worker classes for organizing this coffee break.

Also thank you to those who donated.

"Alzheimer Coffee Break" was a great success!
