Academy Canada Webmaster, Jack Barrett, Wins Big at the 2015 Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles

Academy Canada Webmaster, Jack Barrett, competed at the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games held from July 25, 2015 - August 2, 2015 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Jack won a gold medal in the Squat with an amazing 277.5 kilogram lift, a new Newfoundland and Labrador Men's Master-1 Super-heavyweight Squat Record, silver medal in the Bench Press with a 122.5 kilogram lift, gold medal in the Deadlift with an amazing 297.5 kilogram lift and a new Special Olympics World Games Deadlift record, and gold medal in Triple Combination with a 697.5 kilogram overall score.

With three gold medals and one silver medal, Jack has now won a total of 15 Special Olympics World Games medals in his career.
