On May 19, 2026, Academy Canada and Qalipu First Nation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) focused on education, training, and community and economic development opportunities for Qalipu First Nation members.

The agreement also reflects a shared commitment to respectful collaboration and recognizes QFN’s cultural and ethical protocols, including data sovereignty, engagement with their Elders and Knowledge Holders, and land stewardship principles.
