Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist Instructor Named “Registered Veterinary Technologist of the Year”

Academy Canada are excited to congratulate our Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist instructor, Crystal Mercer, on being recognized as the “Registered Veterinary Technologist of the Year” for Newfoundland and Labrador!

Crystal, an RVT with 17 years experience, now teaches the Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist Program at Academy Canada.

Beyond her RVT role, she’s certified in Lab Animal Medicine, serves on multiple boards (EVTA, RVTTC, Baccalieu Trail SPCA), and co-chairs NLvetcon.

She’s also a key player in legislative discussions with the NL Veterinary College.

Crystal is described as extremely dependable, compassionate, and always willing to lend a helping hand.
