How to Apply to Academy Canada: A Step-by-Step Guide
Are you considering enrolling in one of our programs at Academy Canada? Check out our simple 10-step enrollment guide!
Step 1: Pick a Career Path
The first step is to explore potential career paths based on your interests. If you’re not sure what career to specialize in, it may be a good idea to watch career videos and talk to other people in the field. We also recommend doing your research on the current job market to see the jobs that are in high demand in your field of choice. At Academy Canada, our admissions officers can also offer advice on career options and job prospects.
Step 2: Choose a College
The next step is to choose a trade school that feels right for you. To do so, we recommend visiting different colleges and talking to staff and students about program details, campus features, and job prospects. At Academy Canada, we also offer a 21-day satisfaction guarantee, allowing you to switch programs if you change your mind after enrollment.
Step 3: Get to Know Academy Canada
We invite you to meet with one of our admissions officers to chat about the entrance requirements and course details. You can also discuss with current students or attend a class to get an idea of what to expect.
Step 4: Apply to College
We recommend submitting your application at least 30 days before the start of your program, although applications are accepted up to 21 days after the program begins. To apply, you will need to submit your high school transcript, diploma, or GED, along with the application fee and other required documents. Afterwards, you will receive a conditional acceptance letter.
Step 5: Arrange Educational Funding
Our admissions officers can help you explore the funding options available to you. These may include government sponsorship, student aid, RESPs, and scholarships.
Step 6: Organize Living Arrangements and Transportation
If you’re travelling to campus from out of town, be sure to make arrangements for housing and transportation. Our Facebook Classifieds page makes it easy to find roommates or carpool options. Additionally, we’ve partnered with SpacesShared to provide a variety of housing options for our students.
Step 7: Stay in Touch with Your Admissions Officer
Your admissions officer will be in touch throughout the application process to offer advice and answer your questions.
Step 8: Register for Classes
On the day before the start of the semester, you will complete your registration and be given a campus tour during which you will have the chance to meet your instructors and fellow students. You will also be given your course materials.
Step 9: Begin Classes
Time to meet your classmates and start your lessons!
Step 10: Enjoy, Learn, and Achieve
To make the most of your studies and grow both academically and personally, we encourage you to participate in extracurricular activities. This will not only enrich your college experience but will also help you build your professional network.
