Posted May 29, 2024
While the late Bob Cole wasn’t the voice of Cricket in the same way he was for Hockey, a group of broadcasters in St. John’s are honouring him as they start their own journey, including former Supply Chain and Logistics graduate, Abdullah Khalid.
As part of Cricket Newfoundland and Labrador’s Broadcasting Team, Abdullah is bringing live cricket broadcasts to St. John’s as part of honouring Bob Cole’s legacy. His dedication is truly inspiring, helping to grow the sport and connect communities. Keep shining, Abdullah!
For Abdullah Khalid, who also serves as a Marketing Coordinator for Cricket NL, he says that “You truly understand the value of someone when they are not in between us, so that’s why I wanted to give tribute to such a legendary figure,”.
He also says that being part of Cricket NL’s Broadcasting Team is a way to promote the sport, not only in Newfoundland and Labrador, but across Canada and around the world.
