Our Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist Instructor, Crystal Mercer (RVT, RLAT) recently attended the 2026 Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) Convention in Charlottetown, PEI!

During the conference, Crystal participated in a variety of educational sessions focused on current topics in veterinary medicine, including diagnostic imaging, anesthesia and pain management, emergency and critical care, internal medicine, surgery, animal welfare, leadership, communication, and advances in veterinary technology.

The convention also provided opportunities to explore the latest innovations in veterinary equipment, pharmaceuticals, nutrition, and patient care through the trade show and networking events with veterinary professionals from across Canada.

Attending conferences, such as CVMA, shows Crystal’s commitment to keeping up with industry trends and best practices, bringing valuable knowledge and real-world experiences back to the classroom to enhance student learning.

We are so proud of Crystal’s commitment to lifelong learning and professional development as she continues to inspire the next generation of veterinary professionals.
