Academy Canada Opens New Corporate Office and Connection Hub at the Village Shopping Centre in St. John’s
June 19th, 2024
St. John's, NL – Academy Canada is thrilled to announce the opening of a new Corporate Office and Connection Hub at the Village Shopping Centre, 430 Topsail Road. This space represents the college’s commitment to community engagement and providing accessible resources and support to the public. The college is excited to share that local artist, Sarah O’Rourke-Whelan, will be on-site throughout the summer to paint a mural on the front of the space that represents Academy Canada’s commitment to student success.
The Connection Hub is designed to be a central place where people can explore post-secondary training options, attend community events, and connect with the Academy Canada team. It is a way of giving back to the community by creating an inclusive space for education, inspiration, and connection. The first event will be a Career Connect event on Thursday, June 20th. This event will be free to the public. To learn more about this and other upcoming events, follow us on social media or visit https://www.academycanada.com/connection-hub/.
As the largest regulated career college in Newfoundland and Labrador, Academy Canada believes in the power of education and community, and this hub is a tangible expression of that belief. By offering a welcoming space for learning and interaction, the college aims to foster stronger connections within the community. Everyone is invited to visit, participate in events, and make use of the resources available.
"The Connection Hub is designed to be a welcoming space where community members can explore educational opportunities, participate in events, and connect with our dedicated team," said Lisa Lovelady, Vice President Academic/COO of Academy Canada. "Having a dedicated space to give back to the community feels like a dream come true.”
As the space grows and evolves, the college plans to expand the range of events and services offered at the Connection Hub. The institution is open to feedback and suggestions from the community and encourages everyone to visit, watch Sarah’s mural come to life, and experience the Connection Hub for themselves. The space can be found through the Village’s main entrance on the lower level, near the Metrobus stop.
