Early Childhood Education Student Spotlight
Happy Early Childhood Education Week!
Early Childhood Education week is celebrated annually in May. Research in child development supports the value and importance of Early Childhood Education in society, and this week acknowledges the contributions made by Early Childhood Educators in Newfoundland and Labrador. To celebrate the occasion, Academy Canada is spotlighting some current ECE students and sharing what they love about their field.
Meet Corena R.
Corena is a first-year ECE student from Bishop’s Falls, NL. She is passionate about caring for children and believes every child needs love, encouragement, and support in meeting each of their needs to be ready for their school years. She is also proud to give parents the support they need to be active in the workforce. In her free time, Corena enjoys wood working crafts, cooking, drawing and painting!
“I love being creative with children and watching them achieve all their abilities in their overall development.” – Corena
