Program Description

Academy Canada’s Geological Engineering Studies program prepares students to work in the mining and explorations industry. Students will acquire knowledge of minerals and rock identification, prospecting techniques, mine workings, surveying and computer skills. The program includes the skills and knowledge to enable the graduate to assist in locating and evaluating mineral deposits.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates from the Geological Engineering Studies program may be eligible for employment (depending upon specific hiring practices) with exploration and mining companies. Graduates can apply for employment involving surveying, drafting, and claim staking/general assessments. Opportunities may also be created through entrepreneurial activities and contractual positions.
