Amber Legge
Adult Literacy and Indigenous Learning Coordinator
Amber has worked with the AC team for over 5 years. Her role largely encompasses student success. She enjoys working with students and instructors to provide support and mentorship. She also works to provide college-wide support and mentorship to Indigenous learners. Her role focuses on Indigenous education initiatives, training opportunities, and establishing partnerships. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and the outdoors!
Amber is a proud member of Qalipu First Nation and has spent much of her time while working for AC in the Innu community of Natuashish, Labrador teaching Adult Basic Education. She has also spent some time in Nain and works closely with students in other communities across the province. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role.
Gloria Stone
Records Coordinator, Corner Brook
Gloria manages student academic files and she works closely with the campus Principal to document and provide assistance with student issues.
Corner Brook is her hometown and she still lives there with her family. She enjoys the outdoors, all year round whether it be on the side by side or skidoo, and she especially loves to spend as much time relaxing as possible at her family’s cabin.
Jenny Holloway
Records Department Head, St. John’s
Jenny keeps things running smoothly for the Kenmount Road students. As the Records Department Head, she's the link between students and counselors for attendance, extensions, and all that important stuff.
When she's not at work, Jenny's either buried in a book or jamming out to her favorite tunes. Swing by and say hi to her at the Kenmount Road campus!
Rebecca Adams
Student Support Coordinator, Kenmount Rd.
Rebecca is the Student Support Coordinator at Kenmount Road campus. She will be there to help with any issues you may have throughout your program, school related or not! Feel free to stop by her office at any point for a chat. Outside of work she is a Girl Guide leader and a dancer! In the summer you will likely find her camping in her rooftop tent. She is also the world's biggest Taylor Swift fan!
Kelsie Adams
Student Support Coordinator, Harding Rd.
Kelsie is your go-to for Student Support on our Harding Road location! She provides essential services and resources to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. She is involved in coordinating support programs, offering guidance, and connecting students with resources that address their individual needs.
Kelsie will work closely with the students, staff, and instructors to make this experience supportive and inclusive for students.
Kayla Madore
Records Coordinator, Harding Rd.
Kayla is responsible for managing and maintaining student academic files. She ensures that all records, both physical and electronic, are accurately organized, securely stored, and easily retrievable. She works closely with the campus coordinator and instructors to document and provide assistance with student issues.
Judy Davis
Admissions/Assessment Officer
This is Judy and she is the Admissions/Assessment Officer for Academy Canada’s Adult Basic Education program. She is responsible for processing applications for our 14 ABE Learning Centers, including our centers in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Hopedale, Labrador City, Nain, Natuashish and Sheshatshiu. It is her job to determine your graduation requirements based on your current education level and your post-secondary plans. She will also provide you with information on how to obtain funding to enrol.
You can complete an application on our website or drop in to any of our centers to apply. She is excited to work with you and help you take this important step to achieving your career goals.
David Hardiman
Admissions Officer
David’s role with Academy Canada is to assist with every step of the way in your College journey. From finding a program for you, to assisting with funding or loan applications, right up until you start your program. He loves helping people find their path, as his Admissions Officer did with him years ago. He is always available, whether you have questions about a program, Academy Canada as a whole, finances, or if you just need to chat!
Brianna Eddy
Admissions Officer
This is Brianna, and she is the Admissions Officer at the Harding Road campus. She is one of your first points of contact on your journey here at Academy Canada. Starting college can be nerve-wracking, but she will help you through the application process and make sure that you are ready. She will answer any questions or concerns you may have, go over entrance requirements, and do campus tours. If you ever want to chat, you can call or stop by her office in building 3!
Nick Lake
Admissions Officer
As the Admissions Officer for the Corner Brook campus, Nick provides applicants with services such as campus tours, applying for funding, searching for housing, volunteer opportunities, and most of all, what program suits them best! You may also recognize him as the Academy Canada mascot during parades and other events around the city! He was born and raised in St. John's but has been living in Corner Brook for 3 years and with Academy Canada for just over 1!
