What to Expect: Campus Registration Sessions
During your campus registration slot you'll be formally registered in your courses, get your schedule and book list, meet your classmates, meet campus administrative staff, and attend sessions on student policies, student finances/book purchases, and other important information.
While you'll will learn more about student policies during your session, all students are strongly encouraged to review our student policy manual online here before the session.
Some students wonder if they need to bring anything with them to this session. You are not expected to bring any textbooks, tools, or supplies before your first day of class. In fact, we ask students to wait until they speak with their instructor to pick up any books or program supplies. Lists of required tools/supplies can be found here and your instructor will let you know when you'll need different items from the list.
What to Expect: Technology Orientation Sessions
In addition to your campus registration, all new students will complete a technology orientation during Registration Week. This session shows you how to log in to your student email account and access our learning platform called World Classroom. Our Information Technology team will show you how to check your email, access the Microsoft tools included with your account, view course materials, upload assignments, and more.
This session is required for all new students whether your program is scheduled for on-campus learning or online learning. The session takes about one hour in total. Some sessions are held online on Microsoft Teams, and some are available in person. For sessions on Microsoft Teams, you can join from home or anywhere else you have internet access using the link in the schedule below.
A basic overview of the information covered in this session can be found here.
NOTE: Technology sessions are separate from campus registration sessions. All new students are required to attend both. If you cannot make it, please let your Admissions Officer know at info@academycanada.com.
