Therapeutic Recreation Class Named Easter Seals NL “Volunteer of the Year”

On April 21, 2023, Easter Seals wrapped up “National Volunteer Week” in naming our Therapeutic Recreation class as their “Volunteer of the Year”.

Our Therapeutic Recreation students attended several events throughout the year, engaged with participants, and supported staff members where needed.

Students joined Easter Seals NL staff at programs including Boccia and Build Your Skills, and volunteered their time at Jeremy’s Cup, our annual year-end Boccia event.

They have completed training to assist participants up our 26-foot climbing wall, and have developed adaptable and accessible gym games and programs, many of which have been used at camps.

Easter Seals NL are excited to recognize our Therapeutic Recreation student’s hard work and support, recognizing them as Easter Seals NL’s “Volunteer Group of the Year”!
