Academy Canada Employee Re-elected As NLCA Education Chair

Posted March 10, 2015

The NL Construction Association was founded in 1968 to serve as the "Voice of the Provincial Construction Industry". They provide a forum through which their 662 member companies can discuss matters of common interests. They have the goal of coordinating and developing policies/programs that will enhance the professionalism, productivity and profitability of the construction industry.

Each year the NLCA hosts a major construction conference and annual general meeting. At the AGM they elect a Board of Directors that guides the operations of the association. For the second consecutive year, Academy Canada employee James Loder has been elected to the Board as Chairperson of the Education and Training Committee on March 7, 2015. He is proud to represent the interests of employers, apprentices, and journeypersons as they strive for continuous improvement. He is particularly proud to use his 18 years of experience of learning from Academy Canada programs, students and staff to help him in his role.

If you would like to learn more about the NLCA, James’ role or how you can get involved please contact jloder@academycanada.com or call 682-4393.
